“We are striving to be ambitious and capable learners!”

P.E

P.E takes place on a Wednesday afternoon and a Friday morning. Pupils will need P.E kit and trainers that are clearly labelled.

Well-being Wednesday

Every Wednesday is now a ‘well-being’ Wednesday. Pupils can dress in their P.E kit and will complete R.S.E based lessons during the day.

Word and Number of the Week

Every week, pupils in Dosbarth Oak will focus on a word and number of the week. We will complete activities throughout the week to broaden vocabulary and deepen understanding of mathematical concepts.

Ambassador Hour

Every Friday afternoon will be ambassador hour. This time will be spent completing activities in their different ambassador groups. Keep your eyes peeled for some of the exciting activities we get up to!

Homework and Spellings

Homework and Spellings are given on a Monday and are expected to be in by the following Monday. Spelling tests take place on a Monday and pupils are encouraged to learn their spellings throughout the week as a morning activity.

Darllen

Children of Dosbarth Oak are expected to read for at least 10 minutes every night. Pupils complete guided reading activities in class in both English and Welsh.

Values

The values for the Autumn term are Perseverance and Trust.
